Houston is allergic to Subaru’s. They are all cheaper there. I bought my CPO Forester there because the price listed was over $1,000 less than any with similar miles nationwide. When I was living in SA I had a friend from Montana who seriously toyed with buying them in Houston and driving up there to resell $2k more.

Nah. Not enough seat travel for my legs in that generation of Legacys for a manual and my feet struggle with the automatics.

Less front leg room than my 2002 Impreza, can confirm.

The non-frame doors bug me too...

That's a nice one! They're all pretty cheap now, hard to find lower mile examples.

I’m 6'4"+ of mostly legs and I have a Gen 4 spec-b which I fit into just perfectly. Are you a giant?!

6'2". Back in '07, I went to a Subie dealer with the intent of buying one. Sat in a WRX, Legacy and Outback, and couldn't find a comfortable seating position. Either my knees were hitting the steering wheel or my shins were up against the bottom of the dash. Footwell was just waiting for my feet to hit the wrong pedal.

That’s a shame. When I bought mine I was surprised at how good it felt for a 13 year old car. The Legacy GTs/Spec-Bs , I think, still remain a good-looking, practical, and discrete driver’s car. But then, I am biased.
